Theme is making the site run REALLY slow

Hey there,
Bought this theme last summer and since then, my page has been running slow (charge times oscillate from 10 to 60 segs). I’ve contacted my host provider several times, just in case that the server or some of the plugins the site uses are making it run slow, but we tried:
-Disabling all plugins but using a another theme = Very fast
-Enabling all plugins but using a another theme = Very fast
-Disabling all plugins and using Smart = VERY slow
So after this check, how can I make my site go as fast as it must be? I installed several demos before I chose one, and then modified the content (but all demos were running slow).
