Unfortunately there’s no way to add a searchbar over there through the options. You’ll need to dig into the code and customize the theme.

Is there a code snippet I can use? I’m okay with CSS and HTML but search requires some PHP that I’m not familiar with.

Unfortunately we can’t provide support on customizations. There’s some functions regarding search functionalities that are part of WordPress, like for example: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_search_form

Maybe you can go through that page and check if it works for your site.
