I would like to open the links of the social media to another link i add target=”_blank” to the themes.paeon /includes/function.php fo example linkedin and it does not work.

Thank you for writing. You will need to add the:

target="_blank"

to each of the “a” tags. For example:

$social_items .= '
';

I t does not work, i insert the code target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow” in two files
paeon/includes/widgets/widget-social.php
and paeon/includes/functions.php

Thank you for sending your details. I can see that you’ve done the changes correctly.

I guess the problem might be related to one of the many plugins that you are using. More specifically to the “External Links” plugin that you are using, which is configured to open the external links in the same window/tab.
