Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Nice_Walker in /home/abelleyes/public_html/wp-content/themes/paeon/includes/theming/theming.php on line 231

Received this error when updating the theme. It seems like there have been new folders added from 1.1.1 to the latest package. Solutions to resolve? I have to switch back to a backup because I cannot have the site down and this is a critical error!

Thanks for reaching us.

First of all, I would suggest that you perform a manual install of the latest version of Paeon, so we can ensure you have all the right files in the right place. To do this, follow the steps described in [ Nice Themes / Updates ], but in this case please remove the paeon folder before uploading the new one (to ensure no old files are left behind).

If this doesn’t solve your issue, please deactivate all your plugins, and check if the error still pops up. If it does not, please activate your plugins one by one until the error pops up again, and let us know which plugin is causing it.
