  • Hello,
I am adding photos to my food menu and for some reason, more than one photo is showing up for a specific item. But only on a few items… The maple sticky buns and the chicken salad wrap has two photos when only one was selected. I can’t seem to make sense of it!

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing. Yes, actually that functionality is on purpose. Whenever you upload more than one image to a menu item it creates a slideshow.

If you want to remove the picture from the “Maple Sticky Buns” for example, you will need to remove the picture.

    Best,
    Juan.

I only uploaded one photo to maple sticky buns.. and it showing a photo I did not select.

    Hello,

Whenever you upload a photo from the mediauploader, on a certain page/post/menu item, independently if it is selected as the featured image or not, stays linked to that certain page/post/menu item.

I’m sure that if you go to the edit screen of that menu item, if you click the “Add Media” button, and then pick from the list “Uploaded to this Page”, you’ll find those two images that you mention.

So please, delete the one that you’re not using and the problem will be solved.

    Best,
    Juan.

    Thank you Juan,

I didnt know there was a option for that in the media folder. All set! Thank you!!!

    Hello there,

    No problem 🙂

Yes, actually, that way you can check what images are linked to a certain page. Otherwise, you can go to the “Media” panel as well. In the list view says to which page/post/custom post type is linked.

When creating the theme, we decided that it would be a good idea to have a slideshow for menu items because some people has more than one image per menu item. That way, they have a front image that can be included in the Menu templates, and then the slideshow in the menu item page.

    Have a nice day,
    Juan.
