Lots of instances of index.php running

A few days ago my site started slowing down and giving me database connection errors. After some testing (and switching to a different theme for a short bit) I found that going to “smart -> theme options” starts a series of index.php processes running on my server. They keep stacking until I get database connection errors (from to many concurrence connections). I have my wordpress install in a subfolder, and the processes references the sub-folder index.php. Now that I know what not to touch the site is running fine again, but it would be nice to know if anyone else has had this issue!
Juanfra Aldasoro October 21, 2017 at 1:56 pmHi,
Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.
Honestly, it´s the first time I have ever heard of something like that. Did that happen on a local install? What’s the setup?
Best,
Juan.heroesfally October 21, 2017 at 11:44 pmIt is on a shared host. The php setting were not setup correctly when the demo (mobile app) was installed. I’m thinking of stetting up anther wordpress and installing it over again to see if we get the same result, and find out if there was something else that happend along the way that caused an issue with the database or the install.
Juanfra Aldasoro October 22, 2017 at 2:05 pmHi,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Great, please let me know how it goes with the new install.
Best,
Juan.
