License expiry same as purchase date

I purchased Smart from ThemeForest and uploaded it to my site today (05 October 2017).
I then registered it and applied the key from nicethemes to my site and received this underneath the license key field:
License key is active. Expires October 5, 2017. You have 1 / 1 sites activated.
What the?

Hi,
Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.
Yes, that’s actually a bug we have already solved and the solution will be applied in the upcoming framework version. It’s just a bug with the “active licenses message” for lifetime licenses. So, please don’t worry about renewing the license every day 🙂 – In a few days, we’ll be launching the new framework version with this and other fixes and additions.
