Hi when I reach a certain number of images in the gallery they don’t appear under the gallery template. They appear if I remove the template.

Please help.

Juanfra Aldasoro October 21, 2014 at 3:01 pmHi,
Thanks for writing.
Would you please tell me how is that you are using the gallery template? With the shortcode or by uploading photos to that page?

Juan.rubypink October 21, 2014 at 11:48 pmHi Juan, Thanks for your reply. I am using the gallery template. I am not too sure how to use the shortcode. I am adding the images with the wordpress media button and choosing the gallery option in the media box. The page is also set to use the ‘gallery template’. Cheers
Juanfra Aldasoro October 22, 2014 at 2:05 pmHi There,
Thanks for the follow up. I’ve visited your site and it seems that you’re doing everything correctly.
The Gallery template works in the following way:
1. If you upload images to that page, then it will use those images.
2. Else, if you want, you can use the gallery shortcode. (this is what you are doing)The problem here is that, as you’ve uploaded images to that page, they have priority over the gallery shortcode. So, I would suggest you to use a plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/unattach/ to unattach the images associated with the Gallery page. That way, the images will be taken from the gallery shortcode.
If you click the “Add Media” button while editing the page, you can select “attached to this page” on the dropdown to view which ones are attached to the page.
Best,
Juan.
