Hello,

In order for me to use the Gallery, I must go through the “Media” page and classify the image as a “gallery” picture in order for it to show up in the Gallery page (see site: http://eastsidebakerycortland.com/)

This is kind of frustrating and the images will not load into the gallery any other way. My question is, how to I put these images in order…and I’m allowed to have subsections within the Gallery?

Hello Christine,

Thanks for writing. Actually we’ve updated how the gallery works.

With the latest version, you can now use the gallery shortcode in the gallery template as well. So it gets easier to use the template. You’ll be able to set the order that way.

Regarding subsections, I’m not sure what you mean by that. What I can suggest is that you can use as many gallery pages as you want, and you can set a hierarchy to that page. For example, create a page named gallery, and then some child pages, say “Cupcakes”, “Cakes”, etc. All with the Gallery Template.

To update the theme: Download the theme files and replace the ones you have on your server with the new ones. Please make sure to have a backup of the old site.
