Looking at buying BBQ for a restaurant client but need to know if slider photos are driven by pages or postes they link to or if I can insert photos directly to the carousel and then link them wherever I want, or not link them if needed.

Some slider/carousel photos we would link to a separate Shopify.com website rather than someone on our own site.

I saw a forum post from 2 years ago saying the slider images pull from the WP featured image on a page and I’m wondering if that’s changed.

No problem 🙂

The slider images are taken from each slide featured image, effectively. However, that is completely independent to the link that you may have on each slide. By saying this I mean that you can use any image from your site medialibrary as the slide image, and then link each slide to any content that you need.
