Media images to fit the width of the blog post

  • 1) What is the optimal pixel width for a single post for the full width of the blog post? I am not familiar with modifying the CSS coding, so I was just looking for a good width to crop images to. Then I can figure the height secondarily.

    2) I am not familiar with how to customize the text to wrap around a picture place in the upper left side of the post. I’m sure this would be a customization issue within CSS editing section, and I do not see that there are different “formats” for blog posts. Is this covered in the documentation, or is it assumed to be developer issue? I am unfamiliar with this as I am learning to do my own site.

    3) Also, how do I add space below text in a box like the TITLE* above? It is more severe thatn the bottom of the g being cut off. I have a contact box in which you cannot see the text being typed in, as most of the bottom is cut off out of view. I know this would be something set up in CSS, but I am not a developer.

Thanks, if you are able to help with any of this, I would appreciate learning.

    Thanks very much!

    Hello,

Thanks for writing. I hope you are doing well.

    With regards to your questions:

    1) The images are cropped automatically. The optimal dimension to properly display a full width image in your blog posts would be bigger than 730 x 480 pixels.

    2) That is a WordPress feature, when you insert an image, you can insert a caption. This caption will be shown when the image is displayed in the post. Here you can find an article in which it is explained: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-caption-to-images-in-wordpress/

    3) I can’t get to understand where is that you are referring to. I’d recommend you to check over the margin-bottom CSS property. http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_margin.asp

However, and unfortunately, we can’t provide support in customizations: http://nicethemeswp.com/article/support-vs-customizations/

    Best,
    Juan.
