Text not displaying

I created a page called Welcome, made it a static home page. When I edit the page and add text, and then publish… the text is not showing up. It shows up in the back end. The text is not white… it just doesn’t display?

Hello,
Thanks for writing. The home page template doesn’t have space for the text you insert in the description input. In only shows the slider, infoboxes, and widgets if configured.
