Articles and categories in home page

Hi,
I have a articles in categories and sub-categories and in my home page I see something like this:
category name
sub-category 1
sub-category 2
articles 1
articles 2
Is it the expected behavior?
It seems that sub-category is empty and the articles 1 and 2 are under sub-category 2 (and it’s not true).
Is it possible to hide the sub-categories ?

Yes, you can hide the subcategories. Please add the following PHP code to your functions.php file:
