I don’t understand the question. The tracking code input is meant to be a space in which you can insert the google analytics code. What do you mean by tag within the theme options?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I need to include the tag into the google analytics code as the theme doesn’t automatically add it.

Thank you for the follow up. Oh, so you meant the “script” tag. Yes, you should include the whole code you get from google analytics. You not only can include that code but any other code that you’d like to have in the footer.
