Basically I want to create a subscription based knowledge base/ form that the general public can not see without access?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.

That functionality can be added by using a plugin. For example if you want to restrict the knowledge base only to registered users you can use something like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-content/ and http://restrictcontentpro.com/

Best,
Juan.

Thank you for the prompt response! I ended up purchasing “restrict content pro” which seemed to be a better solution. One issue that I am running into is restricting the knowledge base because it is pulling through on the page as (page attributes > template > knowledge base). Do you know where I could add the code from restrict content pro to control the knowledge base? I thought about using short code on each page instead of using the template like the following url:

http://nicethemeswp.com/forums/topic/multiple-knowledge-base-pages/

However, this will still leave pages open to being viewed if someone directly submitted the link if it came up on a google search. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to make this a private form that I could lock up different categories depending on the user access.

Thank you for the follow up.

Unfortunately we are not very familiar with how to restrict content with that plugin, as it is not from our authorship. I’d recommend you to contact their support in order to ask them this same question. Please let us know if there’s something we can help you in our end.

Best,
Juan.

I received the following information from the company:

http://docs.pippinsplugins.com/article/40-function-reference

Do you think that I could go into the edit function of the theme and apply this code in the custom css section of the page that way it stays with the site after updates?

Thank you for your response.

Those functions are meant to be included in the templates, in order to display information (or not) based on the current user. Unfortunately we cannot provide support on those types of customizations. http://nicethemeswp.com/article/support-vs-customizations/

Best,
Juan.
