So, a new contact form question…

I need to add a phone number field to the contact page (like in the appointments widget).

I have added the following lines to the contact form:

I also used the functions.php file provided to add custom code. Here I edited the functions that affect the contact page nice_contact_ajax()
nice_contact_js()

I do receive the emails, but it doesn’t return the phone number. But I don’t think the customisation functions.php file is working at all.

Also, I need to be able to amend the ‘Thank you for leaving a message…’ to something else. Changing the template-contact.php does not help.

Any help is valuable and vey appreciated.

I have provided details to website where I am testing this.
